Photochemistry and Spin Chemistry of Organic-Inorganic Complexes

Coordination chemistry, in which the electronic structures of coordination complexes can be controlled by selecting central metals and/or ligands, provides many promising prospects in the future. However, its studies relating to special knowledge of both optical science and spin science are still rarely reported.

In our laboratory, from the viewpoint of photochemistry and spin chemistry of organic and inorganic complexes, we aim at exploring new features of metal complexes as well as developing novel functional materials.

In particular, focusing on porphyrin (Por) and phthalocyanine (Pc) optical functional complexes, we perform the following studies.
